Healthy-eating education in a fun and interactive way

Who are we?

We are The Fun Food Company in the North West of England.

We do healthy-eating roadshows in primary and secondary schools.

We do it very well.

We think so anyway!

Our roots

We’ve got years of experience in the food industry—food is our passion and our livelihood.

We are trained in healthy eating, health & safety in kitchens and food safety.

The Fun Food Company was set up in 2010 to promote healthy eating to school kids.

Our reason

The UK has the highest rate of child obesity in Europe. Approximately 25% of young people are classified as obese or overweight.

The Government have forecast that 40% of Britons will be obese by 2025—this will only get worse unless we all do something about it.

A school meal accounts for one-third of a child’s daily nutritional intake. In a lot of cases, this will be the only nutritious food they eat all day. It’s therefore absolutely vital to encourage children to make better food choices.

School menus have already been revolutionised by Jamie Oliver, now we need to do our part by changing attitudes toward health eating.

Our show

3… 2… 1… Get Cooking!!

The first part of our road show teaches healthy eating, how to recognise food groups and what makes a balanced diet—basically the eatwell plate.

The second part is delivered as an on-stage cooking competition. Two teams of pupils battle it out to cook the best meal whilst the audience joins in.

The whole road show lasts for approximately one-hour and is perfect for PSHE Lessons, activity weeks, annual food days, OFSTED improvements, close-down days or simply some good educational fun.
